My heart was aching, I stared into the sky while the
rain poured onto my face. My thoughts lingered towards the
memories I was trying to forget, and I couldn't seem to
shake the uncontrollable desire to take revenge on everyone
 in sight.

Her blood still stained my clothes, and while it was
slowly beginning to wash off my skin; the smell of it would
 never leave my thoughts.

The moon was so bright, it was beautiful; yet all of it
was tainted, with the idea of what had just happened. The
overly eager new recruit in a local guild, had decided to
take on a contract against me. His failure was the ending
of his life, as well as the one I cared about the most.

He had taken on more than he could handle, and I think
the ones who had sent him knew this. It was my feeling that
they didn't care much for him, taking him on just to get
him to leave them alone. Why else would they have him come
after me? It was my fault that she lay dead now though, I
did not take all the precautions I should have; I also never
expected for some one to come and attack me while I slept,
to attack me in my home. His mistake, was that he attacked
the wrong person. She lay in my bed that night, and I made
the horrible choice to go and get something to surprise
 her with in the morning.

When I walked into the room, the man stood above her
body, his blade had fallen to the floor and he was grabbing
his head unable to move; he did not expect this, he did not
know what his out was after killing the wrong person. Of
course he only had about two seconds to think after he had
noticed I was in the room as well, and that two seconds
would not be near enough time to save his own life. My
sword was drawn, plunged into his body, and staring into
 his eyes.

I could have made it quicker, but I chose to draw out
his pain; since I would need to live with mine.

All of this was flashing through my mind, as I stood
there watching the stars in the rain; I felt lost, but I
knew where I would be going next. Kicking the half dead
mans body to wake him up, I ordered him to tell me the area
where the guild was located and made him take me there to
 seek out my revenge.

It was a long journey, and I made sure the pest who
killed her would make it the whole way with me. A bit of
a painstaking task keeping him on the verge of death, so
after I knew where I was finally going; I took a dagger out
of my pouch and stabbed it into his throat. My hello gift
to his leaders once I made it to their hide out.

Throwing the lifeless body onto their floor, I walked
in with my weapons drawn and a large grin on my face. They
 weren't going to scare me, and when I made myself known;
they came out screaming like little children, ready to come
at me with everything they had. One down, two down, three...
it wasn't long before I had taken care of all of them. They
knew they were no match, I guess this was why they sent
some one so new. Anyone who knew anything, would have
 known better.

Once I was finished, I walked outside and was greeted
by the rain once more. I looked up at it, I felt her near
me as I stared up into the sky. It was time to make my
journey down the long road back home, and while I would
not be greeted by the smell of her perfume, or the smile
on her face. This was for her...
